GENERAL OVERVIEW

Environmental & Geological Solutions EGS) has been performing environmental and geological services since its inception in January of 1995. We provide an alternative approach to the antiquated methods of site investigations, characterizations, and especially remediation. We specialize in speeding up the remediation process by combining our geological experience with the exclusive environmental contracting services of CalClean, Inc., a well known groundwater/soil remediation company owned by Noel Shenoi.

Mr. Shenoi is a remediation engineering contractor with many years of experience in the California environmental industry. We both specialize in mobile High Vacuum Dual-Phased Extraction, (HVDPE), which is a highly effective methodology used to take the place of fixed-based remediation systems. We have successfully reduced the time and costs to remediate impacted sites by using the HVDPE technique.

The California State Underground Storage Cleanup Fund has fully accepted our process for site cleanup and has fully reimbursed our clients for using this form of remediation. When you think of it, most consultants will usually perform quarterly groundwater monitoring or semi-annual groundwater monitoring for years, while they think about and design a fixed-base remediation system. It usually takes months to install and between approximately $400,000.00 to $600,000.00 to create.

However, in the time that it usually takes for a company to get all of their permits in order, we will have already reduced the concentrations in the soil and groundwater by approximately 50%, or in some cases will have removed enough of the petroleum hydrocarbon concentration to satisfy the requirements of the regulator, (usually two 30-day continuous HVDPE events).

It would be to your advantage to call us so that we can discuss your site, or we would be happy to meet with you and your staff to discuss how we can assist you in closing your site in a quick, efficient, and cost effective manner.

Special note to Dry Cleaning facilities:

We are currently working with the Tank Fund regarding a new way to minimize the costs for the characterization and clean up of Dry Cleaner sites containing co-mingle plumes of Chlorinated solvents and petroleum fuel hydrocarbons. We have been successful in finding a way to distribute the costs percentage wise, so that the Tank Fund can pay some of the cost, (between 50% and 75%) for site investigation, characterization, and finally site remediation and closure.

Environmental & Geological Solutions EGS) specializes in offering the latest cost effective methods for site investigations. By combining the initial site investigation and subsequent site characterization into one investigation, we are able to reduce costs in some cases by as much as thirty percent. Over half of our exploratory soil borings/groundwater monitoring wells are continuously cored for a detailed lithological profile of the underlying soil strata.
