Greetings and welcome to the official website of Environmental & Geological Solutions (EGS). We are your first and last steps to site closure. We have been performing environmental and geological services in Sacramento County and the surrounding areas of California since the firm’s inception in January of 1997. We are fully registered and licensed for business in the States of California, Florida and Arizona.
We provide an alternative approach to the antiquated methods of site investigations, characterizations, and especially remediation. We specialize in speeding up the remediation process by combining our geological experience with the exclusive services of a well known groundwater/soil remediation engineering expert with many years of experience in the environmental industry. Our shared specialization in mobile High Vacuum Dual-Phased Extraction (HVDPE) is a highly accepted methodology used to take the place of fixed-based remediation systems. Using this methodology, we successfully reduce the time and costs to remediate impacted sites. The California State Underground Storage Cleanup Fund has fully accepted our process for site cleanup and has fully reimbursed our clients for using this form of remediation.
Most consultants will perform quarterly or semi-annual groundwater monitoring for years while they design a fixed-base remediation system, which usually takes months and costs between $400,000.00 to $600,000.00 to create and install. In the time that it usually takes them to get their permits for this work, we will have already begun the cleanup and reduced the concentrations in soil and groundwater by approximately 50%. In some cases, will have completely removed enough of the petroleum hydrocarbon concentration to a point where the Regulator will accept approximately one year of groundwater monitoring and conformation soil sampling to close the site through the natural attenuation process, (usually two 30-day continuous events).
It would be to your advantage to meet with us to discuss how we can assist you in closing your site in a quick, efficient, and more cost-effective manner.
Experts in Tank Removals
Double-walled underground storage tanks will soon be required in California. Is yours a single-walled tank? You should start planning now in order to meet this approaching requirement. Special Note To Dry Cleaning Facilities
We are currently working with the Tank Fund regarding a new way to minimize the costs for the characterization and clean up of Dry Cleaner sites containing co-mingle plumes of Chlorinated solvents and petroleum fuel hydrocarbons. We have been successful in finding a way to distribute the costs, so that the Tank Fund can pay some of the cost, (between 50% and 75%) for site investigation, characterization, and finally site remediation and closure.
Give us a call to discuss how we can solve the problem for you!
