PROFESSIONAL SUMMARY:

  • Served as one of the Senior Staff Geologists working on a hazardous waste site investigation for a major tire company. Work included conducting a sensitive receptor survey to locate active or abandoned wells within four miles of the tire plant facility for the purpose of locating potentially impacted groundwater wells.
  • Conducted hundreds of grading inspections and soil investigations involving homes in various stages of distress. And performed site grading, asphalt, and concrete inspections throughout the San Francisco Bay area.
  • Has performed forensic studies on subdivision projects for the City of Antioch. The primary function for the forensic studies was to determine if the contractor was in compliance with the site grading plans and specifications.
  • Conducted hundreds of soil and groundwater investigations involving petroleum-based contamination. Has written and presented hundreds of site characterization reports to clients, and has helped to close many of them.
  • Successfully participated in a nine-month joint venture to develop a new methodology for performing soil and groundwater investigation, via the use of small diameter monitoring wells.
  • Successfully participated in developing two Risk-Based Corrective Action (RBCA) reports. Both reports were successful in closing two petroleum-based contaminated sites.
  • Performed slide repairs including drilling and setting piers below a slide plane to stabilize the hillside. Supervised the drilling of piers, tie backs, and directed several slide repairs.
  • Performed over one hundred Environmental Site Assessments (ESA)’s throughout California, Oregon, and Nevada.
  • Performed over 60 footing inspections in San Francisco and Diablo Valley, CA.
  • Logged thousands of soil borings, and collected soil and groundwater samples throughout California, Michigan, and Alaska.
  • Participated in the installation of ejector wells at a nuclear power plant.
